i have written a manuscript for a childrens novel and everytime i read it out loud to my self , i have to change the dialogue ,i want it to be perfect
Good for you, Blair. I am a firm believer in reading your writing out loud. I actually try to read most of what I write aloud (sometimes to my pets if no one else is around) regardless of whether it is dialogue or not, but of course, especialy when it is dialogue.
